Maybe your life makes more sense than you think.
Experiences become stories.
Stories become beliefs.

And over time, those beliefs shape how we think, love, lead, work, and move through the world.

Some of those patterns help us.
Others keep us living from lessons we learned a long time ago.

Lighthouse creates experiences that help you understand what shaped you, recognize what is leading you now, and practice living with greater intention.

IF YOU'VE FOUND YOURSELF HERE, THERE MAY BE A REASON...
Maybe you're exhausted from holding everything together.
Maybe you've spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you're not sure where you fit anymore.

Maybe you keep finding yourself in the same relationships, reactions, or patterns—even when you know they aren't working.
Maybe your life looks successful from the outside, but something inside keeps asking:

Is this really how I want to live?

Or maybe nothing is particularly wrong.
You simply know yourself well enough to realize there is more to discover.

Wherever you're beginning, Lighthouse starts with curiosity.

Not:
What's wrong with me?

But:
What can I understand about myself that I couldn't see before?

Whatever brought you here...

Welcome and know that change is possible.
WHAT IF YOUR PATTERNS MAKE SENSE?
People don't wake up one morning and decide to become perfectionists.
Or people-pleasers.
Or overthinkers.
Or workaholics.
Or people who avoid conflict, struggle to ask for help, need to stay in control, or constantly wonder whether they're enough.

We learn.
We adapt.
We make meaning from what happens to us.

And when something works—or protects us, earns belonging, prevents pain, or helps us make sense of the world—we tend to practice it again.

Eventually, a pattern can become so familiar that it stops feeling like something we learned.
It starts feeling like who we are.

Understanding how a pattern developed doesn't mean excusing everything it does.

It gives us something much more useful:

Choice.

Because once we can see what has been leading us, we can begin deciding what we want to practice next.
MEET YOUR GREMLIN. FIND YOUR GOAT.
At Lighthouse, we use the Gremlins & Goats Framework as a playful way to explore something deeply human.

Your Gremlin is the name we give to the protective patterns, stories, expectations, and rules you've practiced so often that they can begin running on autopilot.

The voice that says:

Keep everyone happy.
Don't make a mistake.
Stay useful.
Don't disappoint them.
Do more.
Be better.
Don't let anyone see you struggle.

Your Gremlin isn't the enemy.

It learned its job somewhere.

But a pattern that once protected you doesn't automatically deserve to lead you forever.

Your Goat represents something different:

Your grounded truth.
Your values.
Your needs.
Your capacity.
Your direction.

Your ability to notice the Gremlin, understand what it is trying to do, and choose what leads now.

The goal isn't to destroy your Gremlin.

It's to understand it well enough that you have a choice.
THIS IS BIGGER THAN CHANGING A HABIT.
We all carry an internal map of ourselves, other people, and the world.
Life helps build it.

Family.
Relationships.
Culture.
Success.
Failure.
Pain.
Joy.

Things people said.
Things nobody said.

What we learned we had to do to belong.
What we decided something meant about us.

And because we navigate life using that map, changing our lives often requires more than knowing what we should do differently.

We have to become curious about the map guiding us.

What happened?
What did I learn from it?
What am I assuming now?
Is that still true?
What else might I be missing?

And knowing what I know today, how do I want to live?

Lighthouse isn't about handing you a perfect new map.

It's about helping you become a better navigator of your own life.
AWARENESS CREATES CHOICE. PRACTICE CREATES CHANGE.
Understanding yourself can change what you see.

But insight alone doesn't change a life.

We have to practice.

A different boundary.
A different conversation.

Rest when the old pattern says to keep going.
Speaking when it says to stay quiet.
Asking for help.
Trying something new.
Letting ourselves play.
Paying attention to what our bodies, relationships, emotions, and lives are teaching us.

And returning when the old pattern inevitably shows up again.

That ongoing process is at the heart of The Unbinding.

The Unbinding is Lighthouse's guided developmental journey for understanding the stories and patterns that shaped you, discovering what you want to lead instead, and practicing that understanding in real life.

Not becoming someone else.
Becoming more intentional about being you.
HI, I'M LEXIE.
I'm a therapist, educator, author, facilitator—and a human who has spent
a lot of years being curious about why we do the things we do.

For years, I watched people walk into therapy asking some version of:

What's wrong with me?

And increasingly, I found myself asking a different question:

What happened that made this make sense?

That question changed the way I understood shame, people-pleasing, perfectionism, relationships, burnout, worthiness, identity—and eventually, change itself.

But Lighthouse didn't grow from clinical work alone.

It grew from my own life, too.

From the patterns I've had to recognize.
The stories I've had to question.
The ways I've changed my mind.

The things I've learned through therapy rooms, classrooms, relationships, mistakes, books, neuroscience, mindfulness, nature, movement, laughter, grief, and ordinary life.

Eventually, all of those threads became the same conversation:

When we understand ourselves more clearly, we have more freedom to choose how we want to live.

That's the work behind Lighthouse.

And I'm still learning, too.

WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO BEGIN?
You don't have to know exactly what you need.
Start with what brought you here.
Explore the stories, patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shaped the way you move through the world—and begin deciding what you want to practice next.
You spend your career holding space for other people.
This experience makes space for you.
The Unbinding for Providers combines personal development, restoration, professional reflection, continuing education, guided preparation, an immersive retreat, and integration.
Next Provider Retreat: October 12–13, 2026 · Oklahoma City
Organizations have stories, patterns, Gremlins, and humans, too.
Lighthouse creates learning experiences for teams, healthcare systems, leaders, and organizations that want to understand the people behind the roles—and build healthier ways of working together.
FOR THERAPISTS & HELPING PROFESSIONALS
What happens when the person behind the provider gets some attention, too?

You spend your days listening.

Holding.
Helping.
Assessing.
Documenting.
Managing crises.
Meeting expectations.
Adapting to systems that keep changing.

And somewhere inside all of that is still a human being.

The Unbinding for Providers is an opportunity to step outside the provider role long enough to explore the person inside it.

You'll move through guided preparation before gathering in Oklahoma City for a two-day immersive retreat designed around reflection, connection, learning, restoration, play, and intentional practice.
Then the experience continues through integration as you bring what you've discovered back into your life and your work.

IMAGINE WHAT BECOMES POSSIBLE WHEN YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT'S BEEN LEADING YOU
Maybe you trust yourself more.

Maybe you stop treating rest like something you have to earn.
Maybe a boundary stops feeling like rejection.
Maybe you can disappoint someone without believing you've done something wrong.
Maybe you recognize the Gremlin before it takes over the conversation.
Maybe you become more present in relationships.
Maybe work becomes something you do instead of proof of who you are.
Maybe you try something because you want to—not because you're already good at it.
Maybe you stop waiting to become some future version of yourself before you're allowed to live.

The goal isn't a life without hard things.

It's developing the awareness, curiosity, capacity, and practice to meet your life more intentionally.

To lead a life you love—not because every part of it is perfect, but because you're increasingly choosing how you live it.

FORMER THERAPY CLIENT

I’ve been to several therapists. Lexie is not like the rest! Insightful, resourceful, and nonjudgmental. Each step of her process built my awareness and helped me heal piece by piece.
Lexie’s kind spirit and calm nature created a safe space for discovery and growth. I’ve transformed more in months with her than years elsewhere.
She guided me through uncomfortable but necessary reflections. The insights I gained with her continue to shape my choices today.
I have less anxiety now and tools that work. Highly recommend her approach — gentle but effective.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGURE IT ALL OUT TODAY
You just have to get curious about what comes next.
Whether you're here for your own growth, you're a provider who spends your life caring for others, or you're looking for a different way to support the humans inside your organization—
there's a place to begin.
